Worldwide Classroom: Member Guidlines
Guidelines to which all member organizations must subscribe

The goal of Worldwide Classroom (WWC) is to improve intercultural understanding and cross-cultural learning. Worldwide Classroom encourages and facilitates international educational and cultural exchange for people of all ages and nationalities. It also provides a forum through which member institutions may network for purposes of sharing resources, enhancing curriculum, expanding awareness about their programs, and other collaborative efforts. WWC Members are committed to expanding international educational opportunities for students of all ages. Members include all types of educational and cultural institutions: universities, foreign language and ESL institutes, international primary/secondary schools, professional/career training institutions, coaching and business workshop organizers, art/craft/cooking/culture centers, internship and distance education providers, ecotourism, adult education programs and volunteer agencies among others.

Educational and intercultural program providers may add their information to Worldwide Classroom Online Resources provided they agree to the following:

  • To welcome interested participants and treat them with respect in a nondiscriminatory fashion.
  • To convey information about their institution and programs accurately in accordance with the laws of their country.
  • To monitor student health, security, and welfare and strive to improve areas of concern.
  • To assure uniform standards for testing and certification which accurately reflect study content and activities.
  • To safeguard student records in a consistent manner so they are accessible to students for future needs.
  • To strive to improve academic standards and/or multicultural experiences and outcomes for students.
  • To regularly review and attempt to improve procedures dealing with conflict resolution.
  • To abide by all United Nations resolutions related to human and civil rights.
  • To comply with laws of the country in which they are organized, maintaining licensure, legal status, insurance, and other requirements.

Institutions which appear to not uphold the above guidelines may be removed from on-line and print resources. In the event of delisting, paid services, if any, shall be refunded to that institution on a prorata basis, less any administrative fees as determined by the Worldwide Classroom staff.
