General Program Information

Travellers arranges voluntary work placements overseas. These placements overseas. These projects are open to everybody 17-99, and all nationalities are welcome! You can volunteer in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Brunei, China, Cuba, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Peru, Russia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zambia, or Zimbabwe. What you can do on our programs:Teach Conversational English (and other subjects) in ALL our destinations:
You don't need any qualifications. You will give much needed help to local communities. You can also teach Sports, Drama, IT, academic subjects, Music, Football, Cricket - the list is almost endless. Your help is very much appreciated.

Coach Sports in most of our destinations:
Football is a very popular sport in Ghana, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India and Kenya and we have started Cricket Coaching project in Ghana recently which desperately needs volunteers to ensure that the project continues. You can also teach basketball, baseball, netball, lacrosse, tennis and others.

Conservation Placements in most of our destinations:
Work with orphaned Elephants, Dolphins, Orang Utans, Lions, Rhinos, Sharks, Crocodiles, and many more. You can also help to maintain coral reefs, natural forests and waterways.

Work Experience Placements in most of our destinations:
Gain worthwhile experience in Law, Journalism, Medicine, Architecture, Hotel & Catering, Web Design, Veterinary Medicine, Tourism and more. An excellent entry on your CV.

Language Courses
Live the Language! We have courses in Spanish in Argentina, Bolivia and Guatemala, Portuguese in Brazil, Swahili in Kenya, Mandarin in China, and Russian in Russia. <>You can also combine a language course with any other type of project if you'd like to.

Something Different!
Learn the Salsa and Tango in Argentina, or take a Photography course, or Flying (Private Pilot Licence) course n South Africa... We have lots of "off the wall" projects to make your time overseas even more exciting!

Combined Placements:
You can combine two or more placements in two or more countries ... and the choice of countries is yours! For example, you could teach in South Africa and do a conversation placement in Sri Lanka - two totally different cultures and lifestyles.

No qualifications are required to Volunteer - just enthusiasm to help and a desire to experience a new culture, from the inside.

Travellers projects are very flexible (2 weeks- 1 year) and varied. All your food and accommodation and in country transfers and transportation are included in the cost as well as excellent 24/7 support and back up staff. You will receive plenty of preparation information and support before your departure and Travellers will keep in touch throughout your project to ensure you are happy and well on your placement.
Your volunteering contribution benefits the community and provides a lifetime experience that is safe and structures for the volunteer.
