Study Russian in Russia
Every year Language Link welcomes over 200 students from Europe, America and around the world to our Centers of Russian language and culture in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Volgograd. WE are one of the most well established language schools operating in Russia today and our partnerships with several US and UK universities are testimony to the excellent tuition and general student care we provide. We understand that language study abroad is a big investment for students. Therefore, our aim is to give them the best value possible, not just in their study programme, but in accommodation, and cultural and social activities too. Our courses (which are all very flexible) focus on practical, useful Russian; we help our students not only understand the language but also use it in authentic, 'real situations'.
Courses on offer include:
* General Russian
* Conversational Russian
* Intensive Russian
* Business Russian
* Academic Russian (incl. cinema, literature and translation studies)
* Russian for specific purposes
* Vacation Programmes (a relaxed introduction to Russian culture and language)
* Exam Revision courses
* Russian for Christians
This program combines serious study of the Russian with paid part-time work (teaching English as a foreign language). Participants have the chance to acquire the practical work experience and language skills that are so highly valued by employers today, and at the same time experience life in a different country and develop their capacity for cultural awareness. Participants pay inadvance for their accommodation, Russian tuition and administrational expenses, but are paid per academic hour for the teaching they do, which helps them support themselves during their stay.
Volunteers spend 6-36 weeks doing un-paid supervised work in up to three areas (they may choose from the following : Teaching assistant, Translator/Editor, Student Welfare and Activities assistant, Educational Consultant, Administrative assistant, Project manager and IT assistant). Participants pay for accommodation and administrational expenses in advance. All volunteers may also attend 6 academic hours per week of Russian lessons if there is place available is a suitable group.
This is one of our newest programs and is run in conjunction with Tyumen State Oil and Gas University. Volunteers have a week's TEFL training in Moscow and then fly to Tyumen to spend 5-35 weeks (12 hours per week) working as EFL teaching assistants and participate in the University's English Club. Participants are also entitled to 3 academic hours per week of free Russian lessons.
