Program 'Studies in European Societies' that provides students with a thorough understanding of European societies.
MA program students acquire basic and specialized knowledge of the structures, processes and problems of modern European societies. All the teaching is in English in forms of lectures, seminars and study groups. There are four thematic modules: Political, Economic, Social and Multicultural Europe. Essential parts of the curriculum are a winter school in Germany and an internship with international organizations in Russia or Europe, along with special preparation and evaluation seminars.
The curriculum of the program is oriented towards integration into the European space for higher education, including the use of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and promoting academic mobility. Additional language training in English and German is part of the curriculum. The 'Studies in European Societies' program is taught by a team of German and Russian lecturers.
Since the program is co-financed by the German Academic Exchange Service, German students are exempted from fees. Students from other countries than Germany or Russia pay an annual tuition fee of approx. 3,000 .
