Studying in another
country is a fascinating experience. In order to help you enjoy this
experience to the full, the International Programs Office at
Tecnologico de Monterrey offers you all the help you need to adapt to
your new environment.
During semester and
summer periods we have a volunteer social work project called Mexico
Rural. This project has the purpose to met the rural areas away from
the main city and help the development of the community through
different activities that the students prepare for the children they
will meet. The visit to the rural community will be during 3
weekends, staying for one night every weekend in the community. Its
strategies intend for students to act in solidarity and as
responsible citizens to improve their community's life quality,
especially in marginalized zones.
On the other hand, the
International Programs Office schedules trips to different cities,
events and famous places to let the international student know more
about the Mexican culture and its people around the country.
During summer period,
Monterrey Campus also has a great Mayan Route Program. It is a great
international experience by learning Spanish, culture, traditions,
historical millenary sites and more in a great itinerant program of 4
weeks that will take place in different cities in the South of
Mexico. The program will start in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez in the
state of Chiapas and continue to the cities of San Cristobal de las
Casas, Palenque, Campeche, Merida, Playa del Carmen and an optional
long weekend at the beautiful Cancun. Taught entirely by Tecnologico
de Monterrey faculty, this program will offer you the possibility to
study Spanish in combination with a Mexican Culture class.
Finally, Monterrey it
is the best representative of the today's Mexico thinking. In its
origins and in its culture it represent the ancient Mexico,
traditions, kindness and magic of the people; but on the other hand
it also represent the hard working, the industrial and entrepreneurs
side of our country. It is a dichotomy of the modern VS traditions.
You will have the opportunity to learn from the people, from the
city, and from the country with our various trips to other places
PLUS a great academic excellence.
The Monterrey Campus is
the main, largest and most recognized campus in the Tecnologico de
Monterrey System. It is accredited by several national and
