of Dusseldorf's Heinrich Heine
University, is an international language

We are offering our Evening Courses

would like to brush up on their German skills and have no time during
the day to attend a course.
We offer Summer Courses for students of
all levels who want to used their vacation to learn German or to
brush up and consolidate their German language skills.
At Sprachforum Heinrich Heine

University can take the TestDaF-Examination. Furthermore we offer a
TestDaF-Preparation-Courses prior to each TestDaF-examination.
OUR INSTITUTE is situated in
close proximity to Heinrich Heine Dusseldorf University, which can be
reached very easily by foot; a streetcar takes you directly from the
Sprachforum to the city centre and to the central station. Our
facilities are bright, furnished functionally and fully
air-conditioned. We are a school with a very high quality standard
and with an open and friendly atmosphere. You will feel at home and
learn German a lot!
THE LESSONS are taught by highly
qualified and experienced teachers who -apart from the mandatory
university education - usually have a special university
qualification for German as a foreign language. We believe in an
intercultural and communicative approach to teaching. Recent
scientific findings serve as a guideline for us. But most of all, our
approach to teaching is based on the aims and needs of our students.
THE CITY: Dusseldorf offers
something for everyone: art, culture, shopping facilities and as a
special expression of 'Rhenish' joy of life the famous carnival and
the 'Kirmes', the greatest fun fair on the Rhine. The
Robert-Schumann-Musikhochschule and the famous Kunstakademie attract
students from all over the world.
After a strenuous day of learning one
can relax sipping 'Altbier' (a type of beer Dusseldorf is renowned
for) in the 'Altstadt' (i.e. the old part of the city), sitting in
one of the numerous street cafes or strolling along the river
promenade. The area surrounding Dusseldorf has a lot to offer as
well: the castle of Benrath, emperor Barbarossa's old castle ruins in
Kaiserswerth, the medieval fortress in Zons, the Neander valley
('home' of Neanderthal man) and much more. Cologne with its famous
Gothic cathedral and Wuppertal with its suspension railway are a mere
30 minute drive/ride away.
Or you could hop across to the
Netherlands or Belgium if you wish to visit e.g. Amsterdam or
Brussels.
