Palm-trees, orange-trees, mimosas .....
Blue sea, blue sky, sunshine ..... A dream-like setting to learn
French in the best possible conditions.
In Hyeres, on the Mediterranean coast,
the ELFCA institute welcomes foreign students of all nationalities,
from college age to seniors, all year round.
The atmosphere at ELFCA is indeed a
very special one: teaching is based on interactive and communicative
methods, and includes humour and laughter as essential tools.
Dominated by its medieval castle, the
old town consists of picturesque narrow streets infused with the
colors and perfumes of lush flowers, and the enticing scents from
Provencal boutiques and restaurants.
The residential section reveals a
beautiful victorian architecture and the modern quarters offer all
amenities, shopping centres, cafes, discos, cinemas, a casino etc
....
Hyeres possesses more than 20 klms of
unspoilt beaches and a lively marina. It has also developed a
complete network of cycling paths ideal for green tourism.

CՎtait
mon deuxime fois une cole pour les tranger qui apprennent le
franais. Cette cole Hyres tait plus petite, mais encore
japprenais beaucoup. Jai trouv lՎcole un endroit trs
amicable et serviable (les tudients, les professeurs, et tous
lautre personnel). Les voyages par semaine (pendant mon stage,
St. Tropez, et Cassis) taient organis trs bien. Merci
pour tout.
This
was my second time at a school for learning French. This school at
Hyres was smaller, but I still learnt a lot. I found the school a
very friendly and helpful place (the students, the instructors, and
all of the other staff). The weekly trips (during my stay, to St.
Tropez, and to Cassis) were very well organised. Thanks
for everything.

I was
impressed by their staff, their professionalism and warmth. Every
instructor was helpful and pedagogically engaging. I also had the
priviledge of sharing out of class time with few of my langugage
instructors. I am pleased I had the opportunity to spend the summer
of 2007 at ELFCA. Merci.

I
have attended ELFCA for the past seven years, beginning in 2001,
sometimes going twice a year. The experience has been rewarding
and enjoyable. I can't think of a better environment to
learn and perfect one's French than20the friendly and beautiful town
of Hyeres. The administration of the school is highly
professional, warm, gracious and helpful. The family stay is
probably the best way to begin to understand the people and practice
the lessons from the school. The profs are as good as they
come, each bringing a unique approach and story to the friendly and
exciting atmosphere of the classroom. The entire staff of the
school goes out of its way to assure that each student feels
welcome, comfortable and is of great assistance in giving
information about nearby sights and excursions. I have
felt absolutely "at home." Je suis ravie de retourner
la prochaine annee.

I found
ELFCA to be the best combination of serious study and fun for
learning French for all levels of students ; from beginnng to
advanced.
Students
are assigned to classes according to their level of competence, and
the professors make certain that everyone participates and
progresses, in an atmosphere that does not intimidate.
ELFCAs
administration makes certain that students needs are met, and any
crisis is surmounted, whatever the issue might be : housing,
transportation, orientation, organised excursions, etc., all for a
fair price.
Finally,
Hyeres, and the surrounding area, including the seaside, afford many
opportunities to enjoy southern France at its unspoiled best.
